CARTE GENERALE DE GUYENNE
Sold
Very Rare folio Tassin map covering that part of South West France from the Pyrennees to Bergerac and Bordeaux to Cahors. Perhaps comes from a a folio Tassin Atlas of 8 maps of France.
Can be determined as a Tassin map from the style of writing and the compass rose.
One closed near invisible tear; slight show through of manuscript page number on verso, unobtrusive blind stamp that looks like from Depot de la Marine.
Could have been from Depot's library as on verso in manuscript.. Porte Feuille 439 , Piece 16.3
Very attractive and certainly an important map for collectors or wanting an exceptional decorative map of the region .
