Speed's elaborate and decorative map of the Berkshire features a large vignette of Windsor Castle at top. A small vignette at left depicts a the Battle at Radcott Bridge (1387) and a listing above it indicates who received the Order of Garter in 1350 (the highest order of chivalry in England). Portrait of James the First on right.
The map is handsomely embellished with three coats of arms, compass rose, and distance scale. English text on verso.
There has been some repair of a closed tear on verso Not visible from the front of map which looks in very good condition ( price reduced to reflect this )
