Superb large plate from Wood's Ruins of Palmyra.The book was a result of Robert Wood’s 1750-53 trip to Asia Minor with James Dawkins and the Piedmontese architect/draftsman Giovanni Battista Borra.

Rarely found outside Instituitions these plates are amoung the finest of all architectral engravings.
