Very Rare copper engraving of Napoleon being repulsed by the town of Antibes on his return in 1815.Text below describes how Napoeleon lost 2 men before heading off for Grasse.Rather fantastical representation of Antibes but has recognisable elements of the old town and ramparts.I can find no other examples of this engraving either in Antibes Archives or the Bibliotheque National de France.**Please send any info to [email protected]
