The extremely rare Cannes lithograph from supplement to Nice et Savoie ..Alpes Maritimes. This is the most sought after of the 2 Cannes plates Depicts where the Croisette is now and Le Souquet in the background.
Nice et savoie was a highly succesful plate book from the 1850's and after the creation of the Alpes Maritimes in 1860 a supplement was printed in 1864 and a few of the towns in the newly created department were included. These include Antibes & Cannes. Very few were actually printed and consequently these lithographs are rare.
